San Juans Snowage
Where is Jack B when you need him? Assignment: Someone with good winter mountaineering skills needed to head for the Weminuche Wilderness this weekend--i want to see pics of the 6+ feet of snow theyre about to get!!
Here's the reward: i will give you a trip to Bandon Beach! Well, less the round trip airfare and lodging, in other words all youll get is this crummy jpeg...

Hope some of y'all get up there to see it.

BTW- nice beach image. Not at the beach but it was 68 here last weekend.

Stan,

Do you really think they'll get 6+ ft? Man, that would be awesome!

LOL! T'aint crummy! The bird MAKES it (and the sand reflection... and the FG pool... and the solid wall on the right... and....)

6 feet? Wow!

Well, I'd be your man if you didn't need the mountaineering skills part! If we get that much snow, it's gonna be awfully tough to get around!

Beautiful pic by the way. Quite the opposite from the view outside my window today (after the first two snowy waves have passed through).

Ha! I of course decided to spend the winter in Jackson during the worst snow winter here in memory. I'll be pissed if the SJ's get 6 feet of snow!!!

Oh, and I forgot to say that photo is sweeeet! I really like the red glow and the wet foreground.

Very nice image Stan. Nice transition between warm and cool colors.

And while this looks like a really wet storm, isn't 6 feet a little off the total? 4 or 5 feet sure, but 6?

Well, Wolf Creek only got 5 feet, but i bet some areas to the southwest got 6, thats why i asked for the Weminuches
