I'm on the e-mail list for the National Park Foundation, and just the other day got an e-mail from them, with a link to download their "National Parks" screen saver.
The faux pas is that the thumbnail in the e-mail for the screen saver is of...Monument Valley! OOPS!

Just for the heck of it, I downloaded the screen saver and ran it, and there is no Monument Valley photos in the screen saver.

Reminds me of the faux pas a few years ago when the official New Mexico highway map featured a variety of cactus that does not grow in New Mexico.

Nice find, Bob! When the Colorado Rockies team was new, a book came out commemorating the new team. Within the logo on the front cover was, of course, the Grand Teton. And who can forget candidate Bob Shaffer's (sp?) campaign ad last year featuring Mount Rainier? And one time a client sent one of my photos to a designer in Florida who had never seen aspen trees in fall (or anytime, apparently), and returned the artwork with all the pine trees converted to a nice autumn gold.

Ah, yes. Some time ago when I worked for AT&T in Westminster, we had a video conference room with a beautiful picture of Mt Shucksan (North Cascades) labeled "Colorado" as our backdrop.

Yeah, I constantly see maps showing the Green River between Utah and California labeled the Colorado River even though the Colorado is just a tributary of it. Oh, actually that was a Colorado politician with an inferiority complex who snuck that one in
