Grass snake
Inspired in part by Brett's recent adder posting, here is a snake from last summer from me. At the time I took it I rejected posting it in favour of one where I had both a lower pov and a tongue flick, However, looking at this one again I decided I still liked it enough to share it. Roll on spring!

Hi David, in favour of the nits you already mention as it doesn't sit quite as well in the frame as others you have posted with stronger composition. Also there seems to be a little bit of movement blur, fortunately the detail is still all there to enjoy. Another nice encounter and I can see you in it's eye. I look forward to more encounters this year.. Thanks for sharing.

Hi David, nice shot. Have you got a method in photographing snakes? I have seen plenty of Adders in the past but I have never tried taking a picture. :toast:

Great portrait of something I have only seen once before and that was swimming in a canal!

I would be very happy with this David. It certainly beats the tiddler I got last year! :wavey:

Nits covered David but much better than anything I've got on this subject (note to self: must try some snake shots). Good attempt.

Cheers,
Chris
