Cormorant on reflection

With the inproved light of yesterday I made good my escape in search of subjects and revisited Sovereign Harbour and my friends the Cormorants. The light was changing by the minute this really was a grab shot on reflection having been inspired by Erics Heron shot. I know its not in the same class but I was pleased.

Canon 1D3 Canon 35mm-350mm HH RAW to lightroom PS4 to resize.

Critique, Comments, Advice most welcome.

I would be pleased too Barry. Try as I might I can't get a decent cormorant shot and I would be very pleased with this one. You have caught some nice colours there and it shows up the colours in what is always thought of as a black bird nicely.

I like Cormorants but agree they are not easy to capture well. This is a nice image. Like the reflection and nice BG colouring.

I think this is one of your best Barry. Beautiful water and ripples, great colour and the face is nicely lit.
