More Yosemite Update
It was pretty wild here today. About 6 inches of very wet snow fell during the night. At one point in the night one of the Lodge buildings was evacuated because of concern over a tree falling onto it. There are downed tree branches everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Walking under any trees with large lateral branches is unsafe. All day you could here branches cracking and falling, and large clumps of very wet snow falling from trees.

Again, all day the light was either overcast or snow, except for about 30 minutes at 9am where there was a very slight clearing over Cook's meadow, where I happened to be.

I met up with Alejandro Velarde from our ranks this evening, and we are going to shoot together tomorrow. Then home for me, if they have cleared all the trees from the roads.

Nice view of the breaking storm on the Cathedral Rocks. Thanks for all the updates Tony, hope to make it up there at least once this season.

Love this snow. Very cool. Was there a few days before this. What a difference! Your endeavors to get in were well worth it!

Tony,

This looks great. The b&w is perfect for the scene. I walked by here on Saturday too and it was still great!

You mentioned a good image from Tunnel View.... I'm looking forward to seeing that one as well.

Nice seeing you Saturday, all be it for just a couple minutes.
