I have been lurking for sometime now and finally built the courage to post an image. Living in Utah, as many of you on the forum do,
affords me the opprtunity to visit and capture many beautiful places. I recently (1.5 yrs) picked up photography as a hobby to document to places I love.

Here's a shot of a sunlit Priest and the Rectory. A well known
formation in Castle Valley. Please let me know what you think.

Hi, Jared! Nice shot of those formations--light on the top is great, sky could be a little brighter. Thanks for sharing! :wavey:

I like it Jared, good colors, good time of day to shoot it.

I like too Jared. As Stan mentioned, the sky looks a little dark for the time of day. Maybe a hue left by a GND?

And welcome aboard.

Welcome, dude! I agree on the sky, it looks murky. You could lighten it and add saturation and it'll rock. It's a cool shot, and everything other than sky looks nice. BTW, you've linked to a larger shot, but that larger shot falls within the dimension and file size guidelines here and could be posted. Feel free to do so.

Welcome Jared ! Nice capture with great light on the formations. I loved Castle Valley when I was there. It has a look of being fairly staright from the camera. Did you do much post processing on it?

Welcome to the forum. Like the light on top and you have some nice details in the shadows.

Welcome, Jared. Hope to see many more of your posts from my favorite state.
Great light on that ridge and you got the foreground just bright enough.

There are some rather noticeable sharpening halos on the ridgeline.
This may be due to JPEG compression, but you could probably back off on the sharpening just a bit.

Welcome to the wacky world of RMNP. Nice image. I have to agree with others on the sky.
