Hi,
Not posted for ages as photography has taken a back seat for a while and been temporarily replaced with running and cycling in preparation for a recent cycle tour of Gran Canaria.
This one's from that tour. It's the view taken from Gran Canaria's highest peak, Pico de las Nieves at 6400 feet. The peak in the far distance is Mount Teide on Tenerife(Spain's highest mountain-12,198 ft). The rock formation in the foreground, on the left, is known as Roque Nublo.
Very hard work cycling up there with full camping kit, half of Tesco's and 9 litres of water but well worth it and I ended up spending two superb days camping on the summit.
Lovely! The range of tones is super, and the relationship of the shapes in the landscape work really well together. The subtle tones in the lower dark area is particularly important and really leads your eye through the scene. Beautiful shot. Another satisfied G9 owner! (I love mine!!)

Hi Justin,
Good to see you back, and coming back with a lovely image. Sounds like hard graft to get the image, but looks well worth it in the end.
Well Done
Regards
Rob

A very different and interesting shot
Like I said a while back - Landscape shots are great - but you need a landscape to take a picture of !!
Good stuff.

Hello Justin.
Lovely landscape and agree the tonal range in this is very nice, and its good to see the subtle layers in the forground as with out them the base would have seem to heavy.
Lovely image a processed really well.
