Gray Jay
Captured this gray jay while snowshoeing around Mount Evans a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for looking.

I should be ashamed of myself. I saw "Gray Jay" as the title and thought to myself, ho hum. Then I looked at the photo. Wow! Should've known. It is, after all, a Dan Walters critter shot.

Didja see any ptarmigan?

Thanks for the comments. I did see plenty of ptarmigan tracks above treeline. I was actually looking for snowshoe hare tracks. Saw plenty of tracks as well, but still no luck.

Great texture in the feathers, focus on the eye, and background. Very well done again, Dan.

I think I need some more detail there, Dan. Nice landscape in the Jay's eye (though I was hoping for a self-portrait. )

Wow is that close. The detail in the feathers is stellar.
