I went for a short camping trip to Great Sand Dunes this last weekend. Sunset wasn't what I was expecting, but I tried to make lemonade from the lemons. I would like a little feedback about the composition, I am a little unsure about the tree being so close to the edge. Also, is there too much sky? Thanks.

The tree doesn't bother me much...sort of looks like an observer of the light show. The light you did get is pretty sweet. I do think there's a bit too much sky though.
I think the shot is sweet...it's looks a little blue to me on my monitor, but it could just be my monitor. I agree with Pam that there's too much sky.

Wonderful image, and I would vote for less sky

On this particular image I don't mind the tree or the amount of sky. If it was cropped you'd lose the nice gradient of blues above the cloud bank. However, I think a photo zoomed in closer to that sweet mountain glow would probably also be a highly effective shot, and I hope you took one of those at the time too. My only suggestion for this image would be to warm up the color balance on the foreground: the grasses look cyan/slightly green and the whites of the snow are quite cyan.

I think the shot gives a nice context to the expanse of the place, a different take from how massive the dunes really are. I agree with Joshua on warming the colors some.

Some very nice light, and good comp--i like this a lot! I agree about warming things--the blues are too heavy esp the sky.

I really like this. As much as I like the sky though, I can see this working better with some cropping from the top.

Sweet light and clouds! I like the light pastel coloring too.

I think that it is time to recalibrate my monitor.

I'm with CAZ the re-do on Shot #2 is Awesome! I liked all the others as well but really like what you did with #2
I would say for me that #2 wins it going away. Like the repeating pattern of light in the clouds above the peaks.
