An often overlooked duck, from October last year at Bradgate Park in Leics.

1D2N, 500/4 @ 1/640, f4, ISO 400.

One of the finest Mallards i have seen lately and makes me want to photograph them right now!

All been said above. A cracker Mark. If mallards were rare people would be shouting from the roof-tops how wonderful they are. This image just SHOWS how wonderful they are.

Hi Mark,

There are ducks and ducks and I clicked on this thinking I might see just another picture of another duck, but this is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Lovely soft background and simplicity, and the eye level viewpoint in particular. Oh, and the jewels of water on his feathers too
