Last of the snowscape series. I opted for a square crop because the top did not add much to the story. Hope you like it.

500mm, f6.3, 1/60s, iso200, +1ev, 25% off the top.

I think this is very nice. I do think there are several alternative compositions that would work as well and which would make more of a feature of the random grass clumps relative to the bunny. But it is really good to see images with more space around the subject and the simplicity of this shot and the stark cold winter feel is excellent. It would work really really well in b&w too.

I love it - it made me smile - a superb composition. :toast:

I like the stark simplicity Des but not so certain about the placement of the bunny in the frame. The direction in which its looking keeps taking my eye out of the picture. Did you frame any with the rabbit to the left of the image or any with the rabbit looking to the left?

Rob - no, not really. These guys were very alert (not that a clumsy photog struggling knee-deep in the snow was that difficult to spot) once you're clocked, you haven't got long before they flea.

Very very nice mr. Des.

Bit of a halo around the bunny but the overall image is wonderful.

A productive day Des. I really like this one as well. plenty of other cropping possibilities as already suggested but I quite like the way that his gaze follows the slope. One of those that makes you wish you had spent some more time with them while you had the chance.

I love shots like this. Lots of room and although there's not many features in the image you can look at it for ages :toast:

Hi Des,

Nice one, I don't mind the rabbit looking out of frame here. The only thing I'm not that keen on is the square crop, but I appreciate the subject was hard to get closer to.

Cheers,

Lewis.
