Winter fox
Been very busy photographing so sorry for not being around lately.

Doing foxes and deer a lot. Well....I try.

After a long wait this fox showed up. I love foxes but I think they are at their best in snow.

iso 200 1/200 sec. f/4 full frame

your long wait was well worth it a great image

Great image Edwin - the expression makes it, as does the low PoV; very intimate and full of character.

What is the translation to Dutch for an 8 letter word that in English starts with 'B' and ends with 'D'?

Cheers,
Chris

The Dutch word would be....klootzak

Also an 8 letter word.

At school we learn that the Brits are very polite. My teacher was wrong :jump:

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never seen such a 'foxy' expression on a real fox before. The POV must have been hard to achieve. Were you buried in a snow drift?

A quality image Edwin. The colours, the sharpness, the look in the eyes, absolutely brilliant.
The only word I am thinking of that begins with B and ends with D has 7 letters not 8 !!!

Wondered why you'd been quiet - I'd be quiet too if I were shooting stuff like this.

TOP drawer.

Mark

PS (I'm a polite Brit - I just keep my klootzak thoughts to myself!!!)
Posted by Edwin kats on January 27, 2010 at 3:39 AM
Thank you so much.

So..this is what we Dutch learn at school.

-Brits are polite
-All the boys are named Collin
-Brits can't count

At this point only the third one still stands

Edwin

I can count, I just can't type accurately!
Thanks for following my lead and agreeing with my '8 letters' though, your kindness in not pointing out my mistake really has helped Anglo-Dutch relations. :jump:

Cheers,
Chris

PS. The image deserves all the attention; was it taken on your local patch?

An amazing capture Edwin and a stunning image. I guess the fox was moving through a shadow when you took this shot as it is very 'blue' snow...?

I nearly missed this one.
Superb image, the setting and viewpoint is wonderful but it's that cunning and intelligent expression that puts this up there with the best of them.
