Canyon Gold
Took this not too long after I briefly ran into Anish on my way out of Fall Canyon, didn't know it was him - perhaps if I'd remembered my NPN hat he might have known. I haven't seen much great reflected light in the DV canyons, so I was happy to have found some.

Beautiful color. It might be a little to quiet for me, but I think it would look great in a print.

I really like the look of the lighter and darker tones, accented with a little blue cast. Very well done, Floris.

Yes well done. The reflected light is subtle to some extent but very well seen. Nice work!

Very nice. Makes me wonder what's around the bend.

I really like the way the light accentuates, but doesn't dominate the scene. I love the interplay of the 3 stong vertical elements and the horizontal lines of strata. Very nice image.

Just beautiful, Floris. What I like best is the clear distinction in light between the different sections of wall. This really gives the sense of depth you want to see in a canyon image of this type.

Floris,

Beautiful bouncing light, corralled with a great composition. Great work Floris, no nits or suggestions from me.

It really makes me want to explore what's around that bend!

More of the same!

these canyons are really marvelous and the bouncing light off the different walls makes this very interesting...while many does a horizontal comp of these place, I like the vertical even better in this case...i too have a few but from a different canyon which i am yet to post..

Like how you kept it simple Floris.

Did you go all the way to the end? I haven't, was hungover that morning, but wish I would have.

Oh Steve... having too much fun in the desert were you? I went up a little ways past the falls, the best part IMO is right after the falls (though this is from below the falls somewhere).

Strong comp with beautiful complimentary colors. I particularly enjoy the small spot of light on the canyon floor where all the lines converge. Nice find and well captured!
