Another Heron
Hi everyone. Another shot of the Heron stalking it's lunch, taken last Saturday at Slimbridge. I hope you like it, I've removed an OOF duck from the BG on this one. All comments and advice most welcome! :wavey:

Canon EOS 7D, Sigma 150-500mm lens.

I personally prefer herons in portrait mode, Here there would have been room for the virtual lens and maybe even a reflection, The bird here is very close to the bottom of the frame and i am not a lover of square crops although thats purely a personal thing also, Sharpness and exposure look good

good sharpness and colour

I agree with Dave on this. I prefer to have space for legs or reflection. :frown:

I also agree that it is a good sharp shot, and some may prefer this as it is, but I would rather it was either portrait or just more space at the bottom. :toast:

I like the low POV and the clarity of this shot but have to agree on the virtual legs issue.

greetings,

I like the sharpness and the way the bird stands out against the background colours. I think the image works as it is, with a diagonal line from bottom left to top right formed by the bird and red background bushes :toast: :toast:
