Picked my EOS-1D Mark IV yesterday, with the above Firmware Version 1.0.6 allready pre loaded.
the box had the canon seals on so must have been updated at the factory some time ago.

One nit-pick you don't get a dc adapter to connect to mains (this item is sold separately) . the first time I have had a digital camera with out one supplied.
