Round up
I managed to get myself away from all the other photographers this year and find my own group of fallows...some runners were about and split the deers and the male came back to round up a couple of females who had wondered off. Can't decide whether I prefer the shot with the sky or without the sky.

500mm, f8, iso200
Wimberley (first outing)

Nice. I'd go for no sky

Like it too. No sky for me either. I'd be tempted to crop a tad off the right to keep the animals from 'running out' of the frame. Well judged shutter speed and pan I must say!

Super slow motion Ian with just right sharpness in deer, as above would remove sky. :toast:

Great shot, not sure on the sky but nice to see something different to the usual.

great image, prefer without the sky and focus on the great texture of the streaky b/g

Love the pose captured,it gives the image a real sense of movement, and sorry to repeat it but I to would remove the sky because it takes my eye away from the action, lovely image though Ian and very different   :wavey:

I am glad you left the sky in, this way we can judge for ourselves. I'm in the no sky camp.

Great panning technique. The problem for me with the sky is if you remove it on this particular image then there isn't enough space above the deer. If you have another frame with more background above then I would probably go for that.
