Dipper feeding on the River Tweed at Melrose, Scottish Borders, UK. It was trying to turn the stone over which was obviously to big for it, but it kept trying.

Fascinating behaviour, and you did well considering the light conditions.

It obviously thinks it's a large turnstone. Great behaviour shot!

Light has been handled very well and as result have captured some good details, but the overriding interest is of course the behaviour of the bird. Well captured.

Great capture Ron, captures feeding Dipper to perfection.
Fantastic behavioural picture Ron. Something very rarely shown on a photograph (well I haven't seen it) and a well exposed, sharp image to boot. Nice one.

As I opened this I was thinking "another dipper shot" (of which I still don't have any). What a pleasant surprise to find a great shot of the bird doing something different. Well done.
