Image file name: IMG_0354.CR2
On my iMac computer running Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Lightroom 2.0 I am unable to import .CR2 files from the iMac hard drive into Lightroom. I receive the following error message:
Some import operations were not performed.
The files appear to be unsupported or corrupted.
The .CR2 file opens fine in ACR5.5 and PS Elements 8 which means it is not corrupted.
I am also running Lightroom 2.0 on my MacBook Pro and imported IMG_0354.CR2 into Lightroom without problems. My MacBook Pro is also running MAc OS X 10.5.8

Doris -
Read this. If it doesn't solve the problem, post your query in the Adobe Lightroom Forum and I'm sure you'll get help. My experience is that the Adobe Forums are generally very good.

Thanks for your suggestion, as it turned out I solved the problem by going to 'Help' on the Lightroom menu bar and running 'Check for Updates.' I can now import .CR2 images into Lightroom and convert them to .dng.

Doris - Note also that Adobe provides a DNG converter utility if you'd rather run something stand-alone than use Lightroom to convert. You can find it on this page in the upper right links.
