Kandinsky Inspired
It has been ages since I can remember posting a photo on NPN. The university life has gotten the best of me. I now find myself up til the wee hours of the night reading books like "The Federalist Papers" or "A Theory of Justice." Yikes--no time for photography! This image was the first on my CF card, so it got priority. I have a few hundred pics I still need to go through, so more to come!

Anyways, this one was taken with Floris on that annual photographer's day back in October... A year ago, I took a course on modern European architecture, we learned about Kandinsky and his work in the Bauhaus. I love his work, and always try to look for abstract images that are reminiscent of some of his paintings. (link: http://www.mnstate.edu/gracyk/images/kandinskycomp-8.jpg)

I can't say it reminds me of Kandinsky, but I like the horses head on the lower right.

This is fantastic! Comp, colors, textures and values are all wonderful. It almost has a metallic look to it... which I like very much. With all due respect to Mr. Kandinsky, I'll take this kind of image any day. Beautiful work!

Exactly what Eric said! everything looks real good here. Looks like you got yourself a new lens?

Ben, Like the others have said, this is an interesting abstract. The colors drew me to the image. Remember to keep time for your photography in between all your studies. Best Regards.

I does have the line work that resembles Kandinsky's artwork. Nice and simple!

I studied Julius Shulman.
