Hello everybody. I've been lurking here for awhile now and I've come to the obvious conclusion that NPN is the best community to connect with others who share my passion for nature photography. I'm pretty much a total rookie. I bought a Nikon D5000 in August of last year and spent virtually every weekend since out shooting rain or shine. I've aquired a couple more lenses and filters and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I've had numerous hobbies and interests in the past but nothing has captured my imagination or stimulated my dormant creative juices like this has; It's the perfect balance of technology, art and nature IMO. Anyway, I'll get to the point. I've posted images on other sites hoping to get a critique, a comment or any kind of feedback. Never got any. But I've noticed that on NPN every image that I've looked at has been commented on, usually multiple times, I've even commented on a few. I haven't posted any photos yet but today I decided to become a member and post an image or two. After joining I tried to upload my most recent waterfall shot and was unable to: "sorry only members can upload photos." I realize this is only a techical glitch. I'm logged in using the user name and password I entered as a non-member, maybe that's the problem, but I wasn't asked to change that info or even given the opportunity to. Thanks for any advice. The old info is the problem. Contact Jim Erhardt (the head of NPN) and he will walk you through the process. Look forward to seeing your images.

Thanks for your reply Luke. Low and behold an email showed up with my membership number. Now that I've plugged that into my profile I'm able to reap the full benefits of membership. I've got an image up for viewing at the Earth, Sea and Sky gallery. Take a peek and feel free to critique.
