After I played with the backyard birds, Karla and I went out looking for some snow shots. We shot around downtown Conway for a while and then headed out to Lake Conway where the Great egrets like to hang out. I was hoping for a better background snow, but maybe this will do.
Managed a few decent shots and then a friend of ours called and invited us to go tubing behind his four wheeler. The sliding around at high speed won out! Maybe Sunday we can turn back into photographers after acting like teenagers for the day. Had tons of fun and no broken bones, just sore muscles.

Karla having a bit of fun! Sorry about the non-nature photo. But there was nature all around!
The four wheeler looks like more fun than the birds. Next good snow yall need to call me. Dad just took over payments on a second four wheeler that needs broken in correctly. We always pulled knee boards.
Looks like a good moonset in the morning, I may try to get out if possible. I am also heading up to Petit Jean with a friend in the afternoon if I can. You two have any interest in tagging along?

I would worry about the roads that early in the morning. I'm going to play it safe and stay home by the fireplace which is what I'm doing right now. Thanks anyway and can't wait to see what you get.
I assume I will be home in the morning. Maybe try to get a shot from the house. I'm not heading up to Petit Jean till around 1 though, roads should be okay by then.

Poor Egrets! Not well equipped to go ice fishing! Should have gone a bit farther south this year. I hope they can hang on a bit longer.
Good job on the exposure. So much white can be a real challenge to get right.

They must be smarter than we give them credit for. They know that five feet away at the edge of the ice is 4 inch shad by the thousands.
