Grand Teton Twilight, Schwabacher's Landing, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA
Canon 1Ds II, 45mm TSE, 25sec @ f/9, ISO 100, June 2008.
This is one of my favorite locations. I've been to Schwabacher's Landing several times over the years, always trying to get that shot I want to make into a big print. I would have preferred a bit of interest in the sky, but the weather wasn't cooperating. But just before the sun came up, the sky turned this wonderful twilight alpen glow, and made the whole scene work. I was printing this one today and thought I'd post it for comments.
Since the small web size never does justice, here's a Larger Version.
Seeing it larger has much more impact. It's a wonderful comp, the empty sky is a bummer, but not a killer, in my opinion. The trees look to dark in the smaller version, but in the larger I think its just about right, although I might lighten up a few areas. Awesome reflection.

It should be an awesome print.. the mountains themselves and reflection are worth it all. I've been there a few times with other photographers.. busts, both times, and would have loved to have something like this in my collection...

Oh! Is that ever gorgeous, David! I love the bit of mist settled in that offers the leading lines; the Tetons and their reflection is just sublime. Congrats on a wonderful capture!
