Track
The little snow we had in the southwestern part of Holland, is long gone now. This one is from a few weeks ago. A fresh track of a Moorhen (at least I think it is), on a frozen canal covered with snow.
Nikon D70s with Nikon 18-70 mm lens @ 50 mm, iso 200, f 9, 1/160 sec. handheld.

.. A bird on a mission! A very simple but very effective shot Sandra. I like this a lot and have tried similar myself but without the success. Nice work.

As Brett says 'Simple but very effective'. It's nice that path it took meanders somewhat.

Really appeals to me too. We often overlook these wee details of nature in our quest for the sexy and exotic, and thats a real shame because there's often more of a story in these little vignettes. I love the scraped line entry and the wandering nature of the track and the fade out at the top, which gives a real feeling of something happening before and again afterwards, but leaving us to wonder what. Very nice.

Great symbol of where nature has been. I'm really intrigued by signs of nature and not seeing the track's owner maintains the mystery.
