Stepping Stones
After exploring the tide pools with Floris the other day (Abalone Cove Shoreline Park), I decided to stick around till sunset to shoot some of the wonderful rock structures. In this image I liked the way the different layers of rock stepped down and swept across the scene. Oh, and also how that round rock magically levitated into that lower-left-third.

As always, any comments, suggestions or critiques are always welcomed.

Cheers!

With colors, lines, and textures this is a great abstract, Eric! You might
consider experimenting with a substantial crop on the bottom to see if you
like it after removing all or most of the bottom rock in the FG/bottom. That's
just my opinion, and maybe it will throw the composition completely out of
balance or take something away from your intent. Well done, Eric.

VEry nice Eric, I like the blue tones, curve and circular rock.

You might try the crop like Rob is saying, I think where the curve starts.

incredible find. the blue tone goes so much with the scene. i would prefer a slight crop to the lower frame though.
