I ran up to Wilson Lake, central Kansas, early Sunday morning, arriving shortly after sunrise. The light on the far shore was the only good light all day :(, as fog and clouds made for a gloomy day. However, I did find 2 life birds, including 1 that shouldn't be anywhere near Kansas :), but has been enjoying the lake all winter. Par for the course today, that bird stayed deep in the cover, never appearing long enough to get a photo.

Rob,
Glad to see you are out there..
The light was great and supplied good color to the rocks. The texture of the photo is varied and therefore interesting; water, ice, rocks. The composition exhibits horizontal and oblique lines.
Not quite sure what the theme is... water or shoreline. If the latter, and if possible, I would bring it down a tad for more emphasis.

Hey rob, Congratulations on the birds, but too bad about the conditions. I know here we didnt't see any sun all day long.
Looks like I'll have to check out the wilson lake area some time.

Nice light on the that shoreline Rob! I wonder what this would look like with some of the foreground cropped out right up to the reflections in the water?
Nice contrasts between the warm reflected light on the distant shore and the cool tones in the snow and water. Looks like you made the most out of the conditions.
