I'm looking for a new ball head and thought of asking if anybody has experience with the Benro (B1 or KS1) ball heads !!
Markins over here costs more than the double of Ks1,B1 from benro so wanted to know if it is double the worth.

thanks for your time,

Markins is very very good. Very well made, stable and lightweight - I have some problem at extremely low temperature like zero degree F or below, but that's probably common unless you buy a very expensive head. I researched Benro, but was not very sure after reading the reviews

I have a Benro B1. It seems pretty good to me. I also bought a Benro tripod some time ago and that didn't hold up, but the ballhead seems pretty good.

I would definitely choose Markins over Benro. Like Arnab, I have read several reviews of the Benro that were less than stellar, but I have never heard anything but praise for the Markins.

The smaller Kirk is outstanding as well - I coupled one with one of the small, lightweight Gitzo's and adore it!

If you are wanting a Markins, you might look at Photoclam. Much cheaper and several reviews give Photoclam a better marking. They look almost identical.
