We had a fantastic full-moon-rise right around sunset the other day. A few photos here:

I'd be interested to know what you think of HDR vs normal vs B&W, etc. I had a great time post-processing

Kudos on that first hdr, it looks great. The b&w and second hdr don't do it for me.

I like the color versions much better as well.

First one gets my vote too. That's really nice work.

I actually prefer the 'normal' #2 the best, although #1 i a close second. The hdrs just ook a bit cut-n-pasty to me, not necessarily bad, i guess i just prefer the 'traditional' look with this particular subject.

I like #2 (non-HDR) better, though I would crop it a bit. The B&W is also nice.

I really like the first one. Shows a little more detail in the sky.

I think I'd actually prefer a blend of the hdr and non hdr. It would still allow for that contrast pop that hdr gives, but allow the naturalness of the scene to come through a bit better.

I think Paul has a great idea, but I kind of prefer #1.

#1 is the most successful, imo. Maybe with the moon a tad brighter. It is still a bit strong there.

It's a toss-up between 1 and 2; leaning towards 1.

Thanks for your comments, everyone. Sounds like 1 and/or 2, or maybe both blended, or some variations on 1 or 2, are about it

Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts.
