Folks,
Maybe that varmint won't see his shadow today.
The very earliest signs of spring are appearing in my yard; I've noticed robins swarming the grassy patches showing through the snow (in fact noticed them a couple of days before the last storm), and jonquils are pushing up through the remaining snow, which is still considerable. No snowmen have fallen yet.
I haven't seen sap rising in the maple or my crocuses (crocusii?) yet, but those won't be long off.
Cheers, Steve

Oh, and Groundhog Day, aka Candlemas, is halfway between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox, so after today, we're closer to spring than winter.
So if I cross a crocus with a jonquil, would I have a crocudil?
