Photograph of a female Stonechat that came right up alongside of me yesterday while I was waiting for the high tide predicted at a site I visit. This female came right up to me to see what I was while hiding in the reedbeds in the morning light, it was a beautiful start to the day which soon turned into one of the worst hence the title. The full story can be send on my blog. This is 'as shot' where she was resting on the tops of reeds, just outside my minimal focusing distance, how lucky I was.

Beautiful, wouldn't change a thing.

Hi Craig,
A tiny bit higher in the frame would have been perfect as a toe is clipped, I appreciate the difficulty of framing close subjects though. Other than that a top class shot, love the perch!
Cheers,
Lewis.

Lovely bird Craig and a good BG to complement it as well.
Just feel it needs a bit more space across the bottom and perhaps a clone of the OOF leaf on the birds righthand side.
Major.

Nice one., - but I agree with the fact that the OOF leaf is a bit eye grabbing- especially once you've seen it.
