Hi Maggie

A nicely composed image and the pine needles add to the image - minor nit maybe a little more room beneath the Robin's feet!

A fairly easy bird to find, and they do tend to pose for you, but I still can't stop myself taking the shots although I now have hundreds. I'd still be pleased with this one.

Nits covered, a very nice shot indeed. :toast:

Good detail Maggie, with a glint in the eye  'Nits' covered already.

A bit higher up the frame, yes; otherwise though, it's a fine image!

Nits covered, but still a nice robin.

Hi Maggie,

nice shot but needs a bit more room for the feet

You should have used the 1.7 TC

Thats a very pleasing composition, another vote for more room below but I like it a lot.

Love the pine needles and b/g and the only nit has been touched on already.

Nice clean portrait.

The vegetation works well here Maggie and compliments the bird well.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I did actually have room at the bottom of the image. Its weird but I seem to be able to assess composition on other peoples images better than my own

I like it. The folliage in the upper corner adds a little something.
