Here are a few from my foray down there on Saturday morning. Nothing earth shattering or new here, but it was a nice morning to be out. The light does get harsh right after sunrise on a clear morning, don't it?
The first one is a blend of 2 exposures, the others are straight shots.

#1 is a bit different than the classic view down the back of the garden. Cool.
#2 - I love that tree when it leafs out in the spring. Its beautiful against the south gateway rock. I like the light in this winter view too.

The lighting on that tree in #2 does it for me, Morris. I really like #4 too. I wonder how that would look with some B&W/toning treatment? Nice work.

#2 is my fave. That tree is indeed a great year round subject.

As I've never ben to GOG, I always enjoy seeing nice images from there.
That means this series, by the way.
My favorite is #1...fine job blending those exposures!

What a difference a monitor can make. I first looked at these on my older HP laptop and they looked OK, nothing major But now I just looked at them again with my 23" Gateway and wow, they jump out at me!! These are way nice Morris. I love the comp in the first one.

Morris, I really like all of these. I think two is my favorite, but the next 2 are very close.

I like the light across the valley in the background of #1. #2 is has a great contrast between the tree and the background that's really sweet.
Falling into the #2 and 4 camp myself. The tree in 2 is a familiar view and the light is nice. With 4 I wonder if there was a chance for you to get down lower and compose the shot. Perhaps using some of the smaller fins/rocks as a fg interest, or leading line to the tall fins.
