Pros : Extremely light weight, pocketable even if you don't have pockets
Cons : Very hard to figure out where to stick the memory card

Less glass equals vastly superior optical qualites....and... finally, Nikon makes a camera that's cheaper than a Canon. :jump:

Photographer is using the human eye! 20/20 resolution, best dynamic range and low ISO performance on 2 legs. Self renewing memory until about age 85 or so. Selective memory feature bests Photoshop for elimination of unwanted elements. One built in problem is the lens ages out at about 70 years plus or minus and needs to be replaced by a simple out patient cataract procedure.

Maintanence cost is low up to about 40 years then gets pretty expensive. the maintainence cost after 40 years allows us eye doctors to afford Canon Digital Equipment.

Ha ha ha ha. What a terrific picture. I too am trying to figure out how he did it. (I have a couple notions.) Great comments too.

This would not be a good camera for IR or UV photos!

Where can I get one of those Nikon bodies with the shutter release button on the left?

Ok, I give, is this an image taken by someone else, or a self-portrait with a camera on a tripod - then take the image, together with an image of a frame/mirror and punch through the frame layer with the image of your son? I don't completely see his feet in the mirror reflection - which at the apparent distance and point of view should be plainly visible, along with more of the floor.

Regardless - the creativity to come with this idea is enviable. Kudos to your son!

Isn't that the custom build NIkon did for Wonder Woman's plane? I was wondering who bought that when it was offered on EBay last year.

Superhero bankruptcies are such a terrible thing to see happening...

Still wondering myself how he did it. He did the whole thing himself without any help from anyone. He had the idea and executed it. I have asked him to do a series of these in other reflective surfaces. I think he is excited about doing this.

All I know is that he is kneeling inside our bedroom door and the mirror is straight across the hallway from our bedroom door. There is not much space up there to move stuff around. The mirror is very heavy and he certainly didn't mess with it (or I would have kicked his butt since it is an antique and worth alot more than his butt!!!!).

Thank y'all for your patience and replies since this is straying off topic for this forum. Still though, wondering how he did this........!!!!

I can't wait to see what he can do next. :toast:

It is an old trick I have used with brides getting ready for weddings. If you stand to an angle to the mirror and shoot at a 45 degree angle, you can get the reflection of your target without being in the picture yourself. Notice how the right side of the wall is not square in the mirror. I believe that is due to taking the picture at an angle to the mirror.
