Very nice! Lovely comp and lighting. I have to say though that for me personally without the mist this would have been too twee! The wee bit magic that the mist brings to the scene is really really nice and the well-judged wisps floating up into the blue just adds that wee something. Were the trees at bottom able to be included? The chopped off cally pines would have been nice to have included fully - minor crit and it does not spoil it for me. Subtle and very successful.

The cool tones of the sky and snow-capped mountain peak really help to accentuate the warm autuminal tones of the land. :toast:

Hi John although the image is full frame I do have some slight variants with less sky like this one.

nice shots Phil, lovely warm colours shown off nicely against the snow. I prefer the first one without the buildings although it would be slightly improved if the trees weren't cut off.

Phil,

One of my favorite hills. Lovely image, great colors. I prefer the image with the buildings in.

Hmm! Two very different moods with/without th buildings. Scale in the lower image is good, but - it works well with or without the habitation visible. I can see its a difficult crop at the bottom!

Hi Phil, beautiful Landscape and the clouds is icing on the cake. For me definitely the first one as the buildings spoil it. That is my opinion. :toast:

Now seeing the two versions together I much prefer the first. I think the second one would work better, in showing the scale of things (as mentioned by John), if there was a fair bit more room around the buildings, i.e. behind and below them, although I'm guessing this might not have been possible, hence the tight composition.

I can see why the comments were made but the first one without the intruding buildings is best IMO. However I'm not sure how you would handle it otherwise with those chopped off trees as well..? I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the view for what it is.. Lovely autumnal colours.

Super landscape indeed, enhanced without the buildings in the foreground.
