Cruising
On tuesday I came across 4 river otters cruising a couple of sloughs at Ridgefield NWR and catching fish. The otters can be very fast making getting into position ahead of them for a shot challenging. I have some action shots with fish hanging half out of their mouths, but I think this shot captures the beauty and detail of this aquatic mammal.

&@$$^##!*, I'm jealous.

That's just perfection in my book Craig. Be sure to add this to Fauna.

Way to work it, Craig! I had to get my bearings a bit because of the way the nose, eye and ear all line up-- something of an optical illusion for me, I guess. But once everything popped into place, the sleek elegance of the otter appeared. Very nice work and a  shot.
