The Morning After
Driving home to Steamboat from the Shindig (what a great time) on Sunday morning, I couldn't pass up this scene of the Gore Range between Silverthorne and Kremmling.

Excellent horizontal layering up to the foot of the mountains, topped off with the clearing clouds.
How could anyone resist?

I have the same problem with the Gore Range. It's almost always great. Your shot has a very nice comp and the clouds rock.

That's quite some shot you got there, Rod. Really nice! My only nit has nothing to do with your abilities -- I wish there was enough snow out in that meadow to bury that fence.

The cloud off the peak is awesome! Ditto john's comment on the horizontal layering.

Very pleasing view to drive past and well captured as usual. I find the clouds interesting as well. Not sure what to make of it, but I find that my eyes are often stuck at the high peaks and clouds with the strong contrast.

Rod.... this is great!! Clouds lifting away from the mountain must have been a great scene to watch. The horses, fence, those trees , those lines etc make this a great candidate for B&W conversion IMHO... :toast:

Looks like a calendar shot. Nice.

NIce image Rod. The horses in the foreground make it interesting.

Great shot Rod…can’t wait to make back to Steamboat in the spring. What a nice place!

Rajeev, you're right---it does look interesting in B&W---thanks for the suggestion.
