Any Arizonians that can tell me if they are predicting a good wildflower season in the Sonoran (Tucson, Organ Pipe, etc.) this year? Have you had enough winter rain? Around 2nd week in March is the best time?
Thanks.

Barry, Google Arizona Wildflowers to find a site that you like for updates. Expectations are mixed for a great crop. My experience is that wildflowers begin to bloom in mid-March and peak in April. However, you can't count on the abundance until the cycle starts.
We like the cactus flowers that also begin to bloom in mid-March. Normally you can count on the cactus for flowers and hope for the wildflowers. This year we have high hopes and are extending our stay through April.

I'll be visiting relatives on the north side of Tucson for a few days the third week of March.
Appreciate any tips for typical good photographic locations for wildflowers.
