Was out for a hike this afternoon near Bandelier and saw a flock of sandhill cranes overhead heading north! Seems kinda early but maybe the cranes didn't hear about the groundhog? I hope the cranes are right-I'm ready for Spring!
So Bosque should be winding down but Monte Vista in southern Colorado should be gearing up between now and March! If you're lookin' for something to shoot, head to the San Luis valley and bring your big glass.

Tell that to the people in D.C. this weekend, who are expecting up to 30" of snow. (but don't tell Algore!)
