Here it is, facing it from the other side in upper Golden Canyon, the next afternoon at about 4:20

Great take from Z Point. I love the dramatic sky. The Golden Canyon image has its own dramatic scene going too.

I've never seen the lighting like this from Zabriskie Point, and
I've never photographed Manley Beacon from Golden Canyon.
Thanks for sharing, and I'm looking forward to more of your
posts from DV, Tony.

Beautiful sunrise, Tony, very impressive "beacon", I've done the Z shot before but not the other side. Is that snow on fg hills?

Beautiful images. I especially like the first one.

Thanks for the comments. FYI, it's not snow. It's the ubiquatous Death Valley white alkalki/salt.

Love the mood and color captured in the first image!

Great shots, both of them! How far up Golden Canyon is it to the beacon?

Great shots. I really like #1. I don't think I've seen this wide of a view. It actually puts a lot of emphasis on the Pinamint mountains, which I really like.
