The idea behind the monthly cover image is to promote California nature phtography. Your moderators thought it best to post this information to make sure everyone understands why certain images are eligible, and others are not.
Monthly Cover Image: Information…
* The image must have been taken in California.
* The image must be posted in the CANP Critique Gallery—links to images on servers outside CANP will not qualify.
* The image must meet NPN Critique Gallery posting guidelines.
* Must have been posted between the 1st and the 25th of the month to be considered for the cover shot for the following month.
Example: An image would have to be posted between the 1st of November and the 25th to be considered for the December Cover Shot.
* A photo will be considered if the member is an active participant at CANP; both in terms of posting and critiquing images at CANP.
* The CANP Moderators are not eligible. Images by other NPN Staff Members may be considered, if sufficient payment is made to the moderators in advance.
The current winner will be contacted via e-mail. He or she will be asked to send Preston a processed and sharpened jpeg image with a 2px black border, not larger than 300KB sized to 680px in width. They will also be asked to provide a short bio and a paragraph stating what drew them to make the image.
