New camera and new GBH shot with repost
I upgraded my camera over the weekend and this is one of the first shots out of it.
300mm f4 1/100th of a sec at f5.6 ISO 250

Wade, great image. Nice profile of the GBH. There might be some room to lighten this up a bit, but that might also take away from the mood.

So, what's the new camera?

David I got a nikon d-200 of craigslist for 500$ with very little use.

Great deal on the camera wade. Nice shot fo a a GBH in it's element. Maybe a clone or crop of the rock on the botttom right of the frame?

Very good shot, indeed, of the gbh. Congrats on the new camera. Gotta agree with Erik-- scrub out the tops of the oof rocks along the bottom edge, and you've got a winner. Then would sure encourage you to post it in Avian!

Great image! I've had a D200 for about 2 years. It's a great camera and you should get a lot of great images using it. Enjoy!

What great detail...nice and crisp. I sorta wish that the grey rock wasnt intersecting the grey bird...but that's a minor nit.

A D200, nice! I'm glad it wasn't a full-frame or I would have had to piss and moan  .

I love the long feathers trailing the water on this guy!
