The invention of the Fender Stratocaster guitar brought 'clean', distortion-free sounds to music - some guitarists hated the clarity and did their utmost to dirty the sound up as much as possible.
Camera manufacturers strive for the clearest, sharpest images from their lenses - that's great! Occasionally though, like those early guitarists, I feel the need to dirty things up a bit - I do love a blurred image (intentional, of course!).
Works for me too. Like the almost 3-D effect thats happened and the way the birds get slightly more indistinct towards the top left. The 'stream' to the right is really engaging. Lovely.
Thanks for the responses guys - good to see a range of views.
Tristan: feel free to have a play with the image and repost it if you have time - I'd be interested to see your take on this.
JohnR: Always fancied a Telecaster to go a long side my Gibson SG.

Stared at it for about 5 mins - so that must tell you something; it must have something!! Still can't make my mind up .Used to do the same thing in Tate modern - always was a bit lacking in intellect!!

I too like this image, not all nature needs to be pin sharp. This shows movement, but still lets the viewer see what they are. Nicely done!!

Paul.

Not to everyone’s taste but any C&C most welcome.

I quite like this the style and idea but for me its a bit too blurred.
This very nearly works for me but I would prefer a little less blur
