Decided to take a ride over the RNWR this AM---not a lot happening.. met David Bostock finally which was nice... here is the early AM shot from the bridge. Compression really killed this one.

That reflection of blue really brightens up the moody scene here Jack, I like it.

I love the pastel feeling I get from this image, and the beautiful blue colors in the water bottom right hand side.

It has mood, good composition and technicals. What else can you ask for? Great shot!!
I like what Erik said and will add that the gold goes great with the blue in sky and river. Also love how the river bends around to a vanishing point. Very fine shot, Jack.

Loving those golds and the blues, excellent comp. A very typical NWR early capture... well done!
Very nice! Every time I see photos from RNWR it makes me wonder why I don't visit it more often. I went to Ridgefield High in 1980 and spent a lot of time at the refuge. It was kind of funny having a potato for a mascot.
Not sure, maybe it is because I slept on my neck wrong last night, but the image seems like it should be rotated just a wee bit to the left. It's a beautiful shot and appears to me that there was plenty enough happening to capture it.

This is really nice Jack! I love the flow of the lines in the photo, and such gently beautiful colors.
