Hi everyone, I was wondering if there are any other teenage photographers on this site. I'm a 13 year old aspiring photographer and I've yet to find another person interested in wildlife photography thats even close to my age. I have no problem with being the baby of the group  but it would be nice to get to know any other youth photographers out there. Thanks. Joe

I'm in my low 20's. . . and certainly one of the younger members here. I know there are some lurker teens but I'm not aware of too many that post. Maybe they just do a great job of hiding their age

I think Benjamin Glatt is 18 or 19 unless I am mistaken. He posts on the CANP forum sometimes.

Joe,

Welcome, I'm now 26 but started posting here when I was in High School and can assure you that most folks around here could care less about your age. I totally can relate to the lack of other photographers around your age. I found that both as a birder and photographer and find that it continues. I find more people in their 20s and 30s but I would still say that the age of nature photographers is skewed towards later in life when people have had a career for a while and can then afford some of the pricier gear.

I just took a glance at your blog and you've got some nice stuff. I often credit this place for helping me to vastly improve my work over the years. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Hi Joe,

I'm 15 years old tomorrow (2/10/1995) and I started nature photography at 13. One year after I started nature photography I got into nature videography and I've been focusing on that, although I plan on doing photography and videography.

Hi Caleb, happy birthday , its nice to know Im not one of the only ones, and thanks for the comments everyone. I started doing photography seriously at age 10, i know, how serious can you be when your in 4th grade? But i did have an exhibition at my local hostpital when I was 10 and sold 13 framed prints, since then I have had several exhibitions selling my work, and my goal is to become a professional nature photographer when I get older. I too have been interested in nature videography, but I havnt pursued it. It would be great to see some of your work Caleb, you should post in the galleries every once and awhile.

Hi, Joe! I'm glad you're here at NPN! Yes, you can be serious about things in 4th grade, definitely. It sounds like you are already meeting with some good success. So if you have interest and excitement about photography, or any other subject, for that matter, you GO! boy, and continue to discover your talents and pursue them. It's a lot of fun to be among people who share your zeal, whatever age you, or they, are.

And besides, you'll make all of us old folks less grumpy. Maybe even Charlie will get less grumpy.

I am not old at 62, but boy, I am one of those grumpy landscape guys...and proud of it!

Thanks for the laugh, Charlie.
