Sliver of Light
I feel pretty insignificant at times standing in the darkness looking at such things.

Well, Brad, you're not insignificant; you are a soul, and God gave you the appreciation of the creation.

One thing for sure, you're not in Kansas anymore--I mean pine trees and mountain!

The intense moon along with subtle sky colors combined with the slannting line makes the photo.

Where??

Great Shot.
I like the sight line of the clouds and the hillside.

Thanks,
Rod

Hey Larry, sure I'm in Kansas, this was taken a few months back in the Flint Hills. The waning crescent moon slowly going down behind the tallgrass hillside.

I like how all of the moon is at least slightly visible. How would a more pano type crop work, eliminating some of the black hillside? I like the lines of the clouds.

I thought that was the Flint Hills coming from you but it could be mountains and pine trees with some imagination.
Nice image no matter where it's from. I like the balance, you could crop a little off of the bottom but then I think you would have to also crop from the right. I like it the way it is.

Nicely done Brad! As usual a great image along with some good food for thought.

Until I saw you say grass, I though it was pines.

Very well seen and captured!
