After many years of dedication to the ESS gallery, Guy Tal is finally taking a much-deserved break from moderating duties. On behalf of the entire NPN membership, our sincere thanks to Guy for all he has done! :toast:

Floris has stepped up to take Guy's place in the ESS gallery. He will moderate there as well as in the Landscape Photography Discussion forum. Thank-you Floris for taking on the extra moderating duty!

Never let it be forgotten that without the dedication of NPN moderators, we would not have the superb learning opportunity that exists on NPN. My sincere gratitude to all of you who make NPN what it is! :toast:

I noticed the name change yesterday and wondered why it had changed. Thanks for letting us know Jim. Thanks, Guy for all your instruction through comments and your posts, as well as inspiration. We will still need to see your posts, Guy! And congratulations and thanks to Floris for stepping in and doing double duty.

Congratulations, Guy, for your many years of service.
The ESS gallery moderator's responsibilities are now
in the very capable hands of Floris.

In the years I've been a member here at NPN it has been my pleasure to have personally met the present ES&S moderators Guy, Marc, & Lon at one time or another. It was my most recent trip to Utah that I finally did meet Guy. Needless to say, the photographic expertise provided by all the moderators throughout NPN is what makes things really work so well. Thank you Guy for all your personal assistance during your tenure here at NPN and especially in the ES&S gallery. :toast:

Thank you Guy Tal. With over 14,000 comments in the ESS gallery, I think it's safe to say each and every one of us here at NPN have been touched by your generosity and wisdom and you have been a cornerstone of the success of NPN becoming THE place for nature photographers on the internet. :toast: :toast: :toast:

To Floris, congratulations, and I think the decision to bring you on as a moderator is a testament to how much all of us appreciate your vision and teaching here over the last few years.

Cheers to both of you! :toast:

Thank you so much, Guy, for your words of wisdom and inspiring photography as moderator. Do hope you'll still be around here at NPN with posts and comments, though, when you can.
Congrats to you, Floris, and thanks for stepping up to the challenge of moderating.

Floris is a worthy successor for sure. His comments are very helpful and he's submitting them on a very high frequent basis.
Thanks, Guy for your great job over the years. I hope you'll pop in then and now.

Thank YOU, folks! NPN had always been a place of inspiration for me and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to give something back. I'll definitely be around and continue to post.
I was very happy Floris stepped up and am confident he'll carry the torch of excellence and creativity that's been the hallmark of ES&S all these years.

No offense to you Floris, but ES&S without Guy Tal... I don't know.

Thanks folks! As you know Guy, you have been a great inspiration to me (as well as countless others), so it is an honor to now stand in your shoes. I hope I can fill them

It just won't be the same without you, Guy. Hope you decide to re-up after a bit of a hiatus.

Sorry to hear that :frown: but I am happy that he will be around. I learn a lot from Guy's guidance and advice in this forum since I became one of its members 3 years ago. I am sure Floris will do good with the new task.

Jim,
I wish there is something like Board of Professional Advisors, to benefit from their experiences especially those like Guy who spend many years with NPN.
