It's been a long time since I went to DV. Some of my usual places for sunrise were the dunes near Stovepipe Wells, the devil's golf course and Badwater. I've never been to Zabriskie Point at sunrise or Dante's View. I've been to the racetrack for sunset as well as the dunes again and the area around Artist's Palette.
Tell me where you like to shoot at sunrise and sunset?
Rodney, if you have not shot from Zabriskie Point at sunrise or Dante's View they are good locations IMO. The Race Track of course is excellent too, but is way out there. If you go out there make sure you have a good vehicle and lots of both gas and water too.

Thanks Paul. I think we will head to Zabriskie point for sunrise this time the first day. Racetrack will have to wait till we take the truck.

You can drive on up to Dantes right after you shoot Zab pt.
I really like shooting anything I haven't shot before whether it's a condition or place.

Website says Dante's view road is closed due to snow and ice. No mention of Zabriskie Point so far...
Rodney, with all the rain there can be flooded and washed out roads out there too. I was camped years ago near Furnace Creek during a heavy rain, I got to see many campers floating away in that down pour.
