Victory!!
Hi all,
I decided to take a break from the computer yesterday and went down to the local pool to see if I get some improvements on the flying mallard images I posted here a few weeks ago. I was drawn away by the amount of fighting Moorhens and this is probably the best image of the encounters. Although 50% of the original image and a very busy background, I think the darkness of the image portrays a story with the bird on the left the winner!
I think its amusing that its a bit like modern times where onlookers (the mallards) are completely oblivious to whats going on around them and would rather not get involved.

Comments and crits welcome.

Regards

Ian

I like it. One of the little dramas of nature that so often go unnoticed. The dark feel ith highlights is excellent, A real documentary image. Nice capture.

Different and I like the unusual light, my only comment would be to remove OOF bird in bottom LH corner. :wavey: :wavey:

The action is great but the scene is just a little too 'busy' for me.
A well caught moment though.

Hi Ian,

I love this, the busy surroundings don't really bother me as my eyes are drawn right to the action.

Cheers,

Lewis.
