Just came back from a fantastic week with Mark Hamblin. For me it was the first time in the Highlands and Cairngorms and I loved every minute of it. Well not every minute....
I discovered I'm not a mountain goat. It was tough getting up there to find the ptarmigan and mountain hare. They are so well adapt and I'm so not Froze my left hand and it's still a bit black. But it was nature photography at it's best.
Thanks a lot again Mark. Not just for guiding but also for your great cooking!!!

Hi Edwin,
Cracking shot, love the snow being swept up over the rock and the bird, bet it looks great full size.
Cheers,
Lewis.

Looks great Ed. Didn't take you long to get one processed! This was probably my favourite shot of the trip. Thanks for your company and for getting me out of the office. Cheers, Mark

Lovely shot, Edwin. I particularly like the juxtaposition of the rock and the ptarmigan and the sense of movement in the background. I can feel the cold down here in the Lowlands, seeing this shot.

Love it Edwin - the high tops in winter are not for the 'faint-hearted'

Briliant Edwin. As mentioned above, the sweeping snow really conveys the conditions and for me makes the image extra special.

Great shot! Love the movement of the snow - gives a sense of the harsh conditions they endure.

Fantastic shot Edwin, it really captures the habitat these birds live in, you can feel the cold coming from the screen

You'd be the tallest goat I've ever known .Glad you enjoyed the walk up ,LOL
Super stuff as always .The windswept snow is a superb addition,it tacitly portrays the severity of the condtions .Minor nit is the small blob at the back of the bird .

Hi Edwin,
Great shot. Especially the moving snow gives it a lot more extra.
