The other day I got an email from New Art Review (http://www.new-art-review.com/) specifically referencing one of my photos from my web site and suggesting I submit it for possible publication in one of their books - for a fee of $25. They claim that they sell their books to art galleries and art directors as a reference for possible exhibition or sale. I'm sceptical, but thought to run it by you guys and see if you've heard of such a thing.
Not to sell this daring new enterprise short, but if galleries and ADs are using the book, maybe it's a way to commit some of your advertising budget. If they don't know, respect and rely on the books, take a Bic lighter to a stack of 25 one-dollar bills and see how big a flame it makes. At least you'll be getting some fun for your money.
