Bucks in a blizzard
Taken a few weeks ago. I know it could have done with more canvas to the right but have no idea how or if it is possible to do this with a two tone background.

What a superb setting for the deer. Adding a bit of extra canvas would be fairly straight forward if you wanted to, the clone tool or healing brush would be easy enough to use. I'm sure there are probably even easier and quicker methods too.
Only nit in an otherwise fabulous image is the strange glow around the bucks ears and legs

nice setting but there is a glow on some areas

Hi Maggie
I presume the glow has come from lightening the deer, as insnow I would have imagined they would be a bit dark on the original.
It would be quite easy to add some canvas. One way is to "stretch" it.
Have sent you an E mail
Cheers

Thanks folks. I know how I have caused the "glow". A pity I didn't see it before I posted it! Think I was in too much of a hurry to go for a nice soak in the bath with a glass of wine and Paolo Nutini

I know the wine, but who is Paolo then ??
Is he a forum member ?

Maggie, Nice shot, pity about the legs. Maybe you could repost after reprocessing and adding some rhs canvas. Then you'll have earned another glass of wine ........... :toast: Cliff

Its a shame about the "Ready brek" glow on the legs other than that it just needs "Merry Christmas" on it to make a fine greetings card shot!

Hi Maggie, a very nice picture and well presented. I took the liberty and took it into my comp. and I lightened the pic. with Levels which got rid of the glow and in IMO it looked better. :toast:

It's a lovely composition and I wouldn't worry too much about extending it. Works for me - rules are meant to be broken! :toast:

Brrr, a very evocative image, Maggie. Brings back memories of eleven days without heating in January. As to the bath, I think I would prefer a pint of G******* and listening to this

Thanks JR and JC for your help. David I will join you for a pint of the black stuff but still prefer Paolo in my bath  JR I can assure you Paolo isn't an alias for Andy A or the bath tub would have overflowed

I hope this reconstruction has worked. I won't say how long it has taken me to do it

Yes second image is an improvement. Worth all the effort. I hope Paolo in the bath is for conservation reasons and his singing prowess, Maggie.
